Wilderness Escape Outdoor Adventures aims to provide safe, inclusive and enjoyable outdoor experiences for children, young people, schools and families.
We recognise that accessibility is not one size fits all. Participants may have different physical, sensory, cognitive, medical, behavioural, cultural, social or emotional needs. We encourage parents, carers, schools and support workers to contact us before booking so we can discuss individual requirements and determine what reasonable adjustments may be possible.
Our programs take place in outdoor environments, including bushland, beaches, waterways, trails, campsites and adventure activity sites. This means some activities and locations may have natural access limitations, including uneven ground, sand, water entry points, stairs, slopes, weather exposure, limited amenities or remote conditions.
Where practical and safe, we may be able to consider:
- modified activity participation
- alternative activities
- additional briefing or demonstration time
- clear verbal, visual or simplified instructions
- support for sensory needs
- adjusted group support or supervision
- equipment considerations
- suitable site or activity selection
- medical, dietary or wellbeing considerations
- communication with parents, carers, schools or support workers before the program
Some activities may not be suitable for every participant. Where full participation is not possible, we will aim to provide a safe and meaningful alternative where practical.
Before booking, please contact our team to discuss access needs, participant support requirements, medical considerations or activity suitability.
