We have approximately 50 casual staff working for the company as well as an energetic, focused and friendly management team!
Andrew started this business over 20 years ago and is heavily involved in the bushwalking community as well as Outdoors SA. Andrew has a teaching degree, is an assessor in Bushwalking with BLSA as well as a High Ropes supervisor qualification. He has a number of industry qualifications such as Bushwalking instructor with BLSA, Sailing instructor with AYF and Kayaking instructor with Australian Canoeing.
Andrew keeps extremely busy with the business as well as having a young family. He is an enthusiastic sailor and can frequently be found sailing the Coorong on his yacht.
Human Resources Manager
Carla has been with the organisation for 19 years and has completed a post graduate diploma in Human Resource Management through AHRI. Over the years she has gained her High Ropes supervisor qualification and has enjoyed working on the soft skills of team development whether it is with primary students or corporate Australia. A recent focus has been on our environmental awareness, nature play and sustainability issues.
After studying at the University of South Australia for a number of years, Luke began working with Wilderness Escape over 8 years ago as an instructor and is now the General Manager of the company. Luke is a qualified Bushwalking instructor and assessor with BLSA, Kayaking and Canoeing instructor and assessor with Australian Canoeing, a Snorkelling instructor with PADI, Artificial Climbing instructor, Sailing instructor with AYF, mountain bike instructor and a High Ropes supervisor as well as holding a Sport and Recreation Management degree and a Diploma of Outdoor Recreation.
Luke’s passion lies on the rock! He is an avid rock climber with his local crag being the local spot, ‘Norton Summit’.
Outdoor Education Managers
Marc has been here at Wilderness Escape now for over 7 years with 5 of those years spent in a management position. Graduating with a double Diploma in Outdoor Recreation and Tourism, Marc holds industry qualifications in Bushwalking with BLSA, Kayaking with Australian Canoeing, Snorkelling with PADI and high ropes facilitation. He also manages all catering aspects of the company.
Marc has a passion for fishing, surfing, bushwalking and travelling, especially experiencing the cultures of South East Asia.
Emily holds a Double Diploma in Outdoor Recreation and Tourism and has been a member of the team here at Wilderness Escape for over 7 years. Emily runs the mentoring system for the company and works closely with staff when they are new to the team. Emily also takes the reigns in coordinating all of our Earth Adventure programs. Emily holds Trainer and Assessor qualifications as well as industry qualifications in Kayaking with Australian Canoeing, Bushwalking with BLSA, High Ropes and Snorkelling with PADI.
Emily loves to sea kayak and is always planning her next trip to another amazing over seas location.
Mickey’s passion for the outdoors started as a young child growing up in the SA countryside on his family farm and camping trips. At UniSA he completed his Bachelor in Human Movement majoring in Physical and Outdoor Education. After starting at Wilderness Escape in 2013 on placement, he decided to stay on as a casual has since worked his way up to an OEM. Mickey has qualifications in Bushwalking with BLSA, Kayaking with Australian Canoeing, and Snorkelling with PADI.
Mickey enjoys playing football and spending his summertime up the river wakeboarding and water skiing.
Stefano De Pasquale
Stefano worked extensively in both the Manufacturing and Construction Industries before travelling the world and finally returning back to home soil in Adelaide to pursue a career in the outdoors. Commenced working with Wilderness Escape in late 2012 whilst continuing with part-time studies to gain current qualifications.
Stefano holds Trainer and Assessor qualifications as well as industry qualifications in Rock Climbing, Bush Walking, Sailing, Power Boat, Kayaking, Snorkeling and Mountain Bike Riding.
Kate has been here at Wilderness Escape since late 2007 and started her management position in 2015, Graduating with a Certificate III in Community Recreation in 2007 and a Certificate IV in Outdoor Recreation in 2010. Kate holds industry qualifications in Bushwalking with ABLSA, Flat Water Kayaking Instructor with Australian Canoeing, High Ropes Facilitator through TAFE SA and also manages many of the catering aspects within our company.
Kate’s Hobbies include travelling through North America; she also enjoys Cycling, Photography and coaching Softball in her spare time.
Skye’s love for the outdoors has always been a large aspect of her life having grown up in Country Victoria. Utilising that experience she continued to develop her outdoor skills by completing a Diploma in Outdoor Recreation. Skye has been working in the industry since late 2012, and during that time she has gained qualifications in Bushwalking, Rock-climbing, Abseiling, Kayaking, Sailing and Mountain Biking. From here she developed a strong love for the outdoors and loves to play sport during her spare time.
